Funny thing, history. Makes martyrs out of murders & villains out of crusaders. I supposed how President Bush is treated by history will depend on the course the future takes. Suppose we ’stop’ everything Bush has started, another incident like 9-11 happens & we find out if we’d stayed the course- Bush becomes a hero. Could go completely the other way. For the present though, I’d like to see Americans quit trying to blame everything on Bush- maybe his choices weren’t the best, but if you were president in the aftermath of 9-11- how do you react? Tough questions. It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds & what place these days (& Bush) will take in the history pages (& who will write them).
I KNOW HOW I WOULD HAVE REACTED. It was very clear to me that there would be few if any worse things to do than to invade an oil rich Arab counrty that had not attacked us and was no danger to us in response to 9/11.
Obama recognised that it was a very bad idea. So did Gore and Sen. Bob Graham. (FL- D)
In reality the Bush family has made their money from war not oil. But they hold interests in oil. It’s obvious that Bush being from blood money and Cheney being a CEO of a major defense contractor , where their interests lye. I don’t understand how anyone with half a mind can’t put two and two together and see the real truth that not only did the current administration want war with Iraq but possibly played a part in it . At least knew about it prior to the event of 911. If Clinton would have been under the same cercumstanses , I would feel the same way . But unfortunately most people with limited analitacal abilities are confused by rhetoric. instead of making their own judgement from the facts. In the the constitution of the U.S. it speaks of over throwing the government in place of tyranny . Maybe that is the only option. But it will never happen because no one knows or wants to know the truth. Anyone who kills for money is guilty of murder . No matter what position they may hold. All men are created equal under God. If you have read the bible the current administration [ who claim to be Christians ] are contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus taught love, forgineness, being good to the poor . They obviously believe in greed , murder , and opression. How is that Christianity?
