I’ve noticed that some people that think that it is discrimination for a company to tell them how to dress and that it is discrimination when people do not take them seriously because they are not dressed like everyone else. Well guess what, deal with it. When you come to work with a mohawk, hair color that isn’t naturally found on anyone, make-up (and you’re a guy), fingernail polish (once again, for guys), facial piercings, really obvious, obtrusive, and offensive tattoos, and anything else that is of the like, you are going to be viewed as unprofessional, unkept, and offensive. Most likely, you’re emo and you dress that way because your parents took away your beamer because you stayed out past your curfew last night and now you need to react and show them that you are an individual that can wear the same black band t-shirts, girl pants, weird multicolored hair, lip/tounge rings, and anything “retro” that every other emo kid on the planet wears. All you’ve accomplished is that now your parents aren’t going to pay for your college which doesn’t matter to you because you don’t want to conform to an institution (even though you’ve already conformed to the institution of ‘emo’) and (if you’re lucky) you’ll be working at Hot Topic for the rest of your life but most likely you’ll be at Jack in the Box and I can still come see you’re crazy, emo ass that is still bitching about his parents who want him to move out of the basement because they want to RETIRE and move when I decide that, yeah, I would like fries with that.
